Getting To Know your Flapjack
A popular houseplant succulent, FlapJacks are also referred to as the Paddle Plant. They get their name from their fleshy, red tipped leaves that stack on top of each other like pancakes (or paddles). A fast growing, drought resistant succulent that actually thrives better inside. She is susceptible to root rot, so make sure to let her soil dry out before watering again. Underwatering is better than over watering with this girl. During the winter, one or two times a month is enough water and only fertilize every other month with a succulent fertilizer, although in the spring and summer she can tolerate more feed and water. You will know if she is getting enough light if she starts to develop red tips at the ends of her leaves and may even flower in the spring.
